In Loving Memory
Luis RiveraBronx, NY Parents: Siblings: |
My father died from alcoholism. I wish things could have been different for my mother and his six children. I am his only son and he has five daughters. We are all from the same mother and father. I would like my fathers story of life on the streets of NY, to be a reason to other addicts to get help and know that life is so precious, you only get one life and it can be taken without warning. My father left behind six children. I have never been able to ask my dad for advice on love, life. We all struggle with the reason of his death. Not understanding why his children werent a good enough reason to stop drinking and get well. Alcohol and drugs take a hold of people like a parasite. I wish i had been older and mature enough to help my father. I love him dearly and would love his memory to go on.

I didn't know him, but I'm sure your father would be very proud of you for keeping his memory alive.
You sound like a good son, and my thoughts are with you and your family. |
