In Loving Memory

Our family and all of Kristin’s friends are thankful for the memories we have of her. However, like all families and friends of children who have died, we wish we had more than just memories. We choose to celebrate and honor all the good things we knew and loved about Kristin—her joy in living life to its fullest, her quick wit and exuberant laugh, and her competitive spirit. That’s all we can do now, as Kristin died alone, in the early morning hours of February 22nd, 2008, after a night of binge drinking with friends at Florida State University. While we have no choice but to accept her death and all the tragic consequences that go with it, we believe the circumstances of her death are unacceptable, and that’s why we’ve decided to add Kristin’s picture and message to the NOPE Memorial Wall. We hope and pray that Kristin’s message will help make a difference in the life of a young person who may read or hear about it.

Kristin is beautiful. I am soooo sorry for your loss. My oldest daughter goes off to college next year and I hope your story will be imprinted in her mind so she makes wise choices in the future. Thank you for sharing, may you be at peace, as Kristin is now. God bless. |
